I know that the 4 channels of this device can work simultaneously, however, can I set them to go off one after the other individually, automatically? For example, can I have EMS for 20 minutes, then IF will begin automatically after EMS ends and then have 20 minutes of TENS after IF ends?

To use the different modalities - TENS, EMS, IF, etc. - you will have to set them up individually after each program. Unfortunately, the Twin Stim Plus 3rd Edition does not allow different modality treatments to be preset together, and run, automatically, one after the other. This is in accordance with FDA safety regulations for Class II Medical Devices.

Do you replace the electrodes each time or are they reused?

The electrodes are all self-adhesive and reusable, but only to a point. Most users will get about 5-10 uses per pack of 4 before the adhesive gel layer dries up and stops sticking, which is your cue to discard them and begin using a new set.

I absolutely love this unit. It’s well-made and does exactly what I want it to do. The case wouldn’t be too bad to hold it, but the first night one of the hinges broke because it’s plastic. The company was good enough to send me some really good electrodes valued up to what the case would be. Electrical tape on both sides of the hinge fixed it just perfectly.

Pain is gone!

I have a severe herniated disc with radiculopathy in my left leg. At PT they put an e-stim machine on me and it felt like it was activating the dead nerve in my leg. I purchased the Twin Stim Plus 3rd Edition and set it for IF - M mode at 20hz. My pain before was only about a 2 or 3. With the Twin Stim Plus running, the pain is completely gone! More important to me, the unit increases my range of motion and strength in my legs. It was difficult putting the electrodes on my back by myself and tedious connecting the wires, so I purchased the GF5240 Relief Wrap Conductive Back Garment. I now leave the electrodes attached to the Relief Wrap with all the wires attached to the electrodes. I cut the plastic protective backing into 4 pieces. It is now much easier to use the unit. I peel off the protective backings, wrap the Relief Wrap around my lower back and plug the wires into the Twin Stim Plus unit. I do my exercises with the unit running. I've only been using the unit for a few weeks and the radiculopathy in my leg has lessened. I have been dealing with the radiculopathy for over a year and if it keeps improving at this rate, it might be completely resolved in a month or two. So glad I tried it!

Pricey, but probably best portable unit

I use this for occasional pain management and for muscle cramps. I've suffered from cramps since taking up bicycling decades ago. The cramps would be excruciatingly painful and last for 30 to 45 minutes before I tried electrostimulation. This unit does a great job mitigating cramps. If I can get the pads on quickly, the cramps are minimal and short-lived. After 30-60 minutes application, things feel normal. The Russian effectiveness, for me, depends greatly on electrode placement. They can be very effective or minimal depending on how the electrodes are positioned. Also, operating on batteries is fairly effective, but it feels like the "power" on batteries is about 60% of what I can get using the wall adapter. I've used other styles of TESN units from TESNPROS and this is the best I've found. The others demand that you make the settings before starting the cycle. This one lest you make adjustments on the fly, so you can adjust up or down, depending on what seems to be working at the time. The power socket on the unit doesn't seem durable; I've been through a couple where that socket either broke or just started to work intermittently. And the display on one unit had a problem with one of the digits. Apart from having to treat the DC power connection with care, I found this to be a great unit.

It works!!

I was in an aircraft accident in 2015 in which both ankles were crushed. The Doctor had to fuse the ankle bones together. When on my feet for more than a couple of hours, it becomes very painful to walk. I have been on a low dose opiate that I take for the pain when I know that I will be on my feet for hours. The pain feels like walking on two twisted ankles. If you've ever twisted your ankle, you can probably sympathize with what I am dealing with daily. I purchased the Twin Stim Plus 3rd Edition from Tenspros and the reason was that it had the I.F. setting that helps with deep pain which is what I experience. The very first time that I used the Twin Stim Plus 3rd Edition, my ankles were pounding. I could barely walk. I attached to my feet 8 electrodes 2 on each side of my ankles. I then set the TWIN Stim Plus to the strongest I.F. setting. Within twenty minutes the pain was practically gone. This Twin Stim Plus 3rd Edition will definitely reduce my opiate use for pain. I strongly recommend this machine if you want drug free pain relief. IT REALLY WORKS !!!!!!

Great Product

I purchased this item in the late 90's with many family members using it. It's still working today with my daughter - she bought me this newer version and I love it. I received it quickly, it was well packaged and works great. I love the multiple modes and the 4 channels as in the older version.

Twin STIM Plus 3

I've been using mine daily for the past 6 months or so and have been very happy with the unit. It was recommended to me by a friend and I would highly recommend this unit to others. If you're dealing with inflammation at all, which is causing pain, be sure to get a unit with IF, Interferencial. It not only reduces pain but the inflammation causing it. But IF kills the batteries fast, so I use IF when plugged in to the wall, and Russian when on batteries. Good rechargeable batteries really are stronger and last longer than regular batteries.

Great Unit, The Russian Massage frequency makes the difference. Wife has foot nephropathy and the Russ M is the only frequency that helps her condition. My mom has the same unit and it works very well. She has foot nephropathy due to chemo. so, really a great unit. Will try the other frequencies and see how they work.

I am very surprised how good this small unit performs ! I had no high expectations when I ordered this, but I wanted a small unit, for easy storage. I had no idea this will perform very similar to the big ones at the clinic. It has the therapies usually used at the clinic: TENS and IF with several settings that you can adjust. I would recommend reading the two manuals before you use the unit so you can assess which wave is the one you need. This device works perfectly, is small, has a protective case, easy to carry, light weighted and with all the electrotherapy modes used at clinics.

Works

This was purchased for my fiance as she has recently been dealing with major pain in her right wrist and thumb. Her pain progressed to the point where she could hardly even open a smoothie bottle or move her thumb. The first time she used this, she first used the TENS program, waited an hour then did the EMS program on her right wrist and thumb. She said that she was now able to fully move her thumb, in all directions without excruciating pain unlike before. She has also indicated the overall pain in her right wrist and thumb is gradually getting better and less painful from use.

physical therapist

We use the big units in our clinic. My oldest son was having back and hip pain after a bike accident so I sent him this unit last fall. He has been raving about it since and says he continues to discovery new ways to use it- placement of electrodes and varying currents. So when my youngest son hurt his back lifting a gurney, I immediately sent him the same unit. He didn't get into physical therapy for three weeks because worker's comp in CA is so slow. He said this unit saved him. We are all sold. Beats Opiates.

Great little machine. My wife uses it for her golfers elbow and it works great. I broke my L1 vertebrae in Marchand tried to use this on my back...did not have enough power to really work my back...I’m going to see if the company has a bit stronger machine for areas such as this.

So far I am pleased with this unit. It has a wide variety of options. You need to work with your therapist for beginners. I was about to start on too aggressive settings. The contact pads are really good. I have not had any problems reusing them multiple times.

I bought the device about a month ago, I really liked it instantly, it is solid build and of a good quality. After presenting the device to my parents they immediately wanted to have identical one. Therefore, I didn't have a choice and purchased the second one for them. We all enjoy using it. Power from the batteries is enough if a person doesn't have too much fat inside the wonderful body. For special cases there is a power supply which provides higher voltage for the device so, the output power is higher when the power supply is attached. In our family, only grandpa uses the power supply, the rest of us fully is satisfied with the batteries outcome. With big eight electrodes you can cover almost all back area which is wonderful! I love the idea of using the AA batteries. I consider their usage is more convenient comparing to 9v batteries, moreover, AA batteries are easier to find in a shop and they have higher capacity! They can also be easily replaced with rechargeable ones. All, in all, excellent device, good enough functionality, wonderful quality!

good choice

i bought this for 149 event price. this product is good and powerful. i choose this one because you can plug in the power. i like it but just for me it has less function but it cover all the basics like adjustment and timer. try to learn this product so you can use it properly. i mostly use the ems function.

I was turned on to this product by my functional neurologist. While treating my neuroborreliosis, this has been invaluable in helping my cognitive issues caused by inflammation in my temporal loves. I use it various places on my face, including on my tongue to calm down my sympathetic nervous system and active my parasympathetic. I watch my resting heart rate go from 75 - 65 within seconds. Was doubtful but would definitely recommend

home use

Item is as advertised. Nice little unit. I only wish it had a little more power to really be able to work muscles like thighs with a low frequency pulse. Overall, it works well and I really like the ability to have multiple pads attached.

i love my machine i use setting if "M" i put it on my neck, back,hips and feet. it really helps. The only issue i have is it really doesn't work unless you have it plugged in the wall, doesn't work using just batteries. So not portible really
