The Twin Stim 2nd Edition, along with all of our other electrotherapy devices, come packaged with all of the supplies needed in order to begin treatment right away. Depending on how often you plan to use the device, we do recommend that you stock up on extra sets of electrodes in order to save on potential future shipping costs, because they will lose their adhesion eventually, at which point you can simply discard those pads and begin using a new pack.

A: The item you are referring to is only a TENS unit. The Twin Stim 2nd Edition is a very similar device, in terms of functionality, however it can also be used for EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation).

The Twin Stim 2nd Edition, along with all of our other electrotherapy devices, comes packaged with everything you need to start using it right away. There are certainly some different supplies and accessories that you can get and use with the unit as well, but it is, more or less, just personal preference. We do recommend, however, that you stock up on some extra electrodes in order to save on future shipping costs, as they are only reusable until the adhesive gel already on the pads wears out.

A: The Twin Stim 2nd Edition only runs on a 9-volt battery. If you would like a similar TENS and EMS combination device that can also be used with an AC power adapter, then you may want to consider the InTENSity Twin Stim III.

The Twin Stim 2nd Edition is a combination device capable of outputting both TENS and EMS therapy. It can certainly be used to treat arm pain, however, we recommend first consulting with a medical professional, to know which particular electrotherapy, and what specific settings, would be optimal for your case.

Yes, this is a great combination unit to treat low back pain as it has both TENS and EMS within the same unit. You have the option for TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) which provides pain relief, as well as EMS (electronic muscle stimulation) to target the sore muscles to rehab them in addition to just treating the pain itself with a TENS only device.
As far as the top 3 models, this totally depends on a patient by patient basis as it depends on what ailment you plan to use the device for.
With back pain, this is a great start for a manual TENS and EMS device that runs on battery power. As you move to the Intensity line of devices you add in the digital component that will up the price a bit, but you get added features with the units such as an AC adapter like with the Intensity Twin Stim 3 unit, one step up from this device, or even the next step after that, the Intensity Twin Stim IV unit where you get the lithium ion rechargeable battery and pre-set body part settings as a guide versus the manual previous two versions.
So each unit has its benefits and just depends on the budget you are looking for and what features will be useful to you, or unnecessary.
