Get quality bracing with the OA Adjustable Stabilizing Knee Brace (Off-Loader). The OA Knee Brace provides superior stability across the knee joint to reduce the load when flexed. Designed with a lightweight, four-strap system, it now features heavy-duty alligator clips that are slimmer than the straps for enhanced support and prevent patient discomfort. The new innovative buckle system includes an easy press button release and dual pivot points for full adjustability.

Instruction For Use:

Release each of the straps and attach to its loosest setting if it is the first time applying the brace. Detach buckles.
Apply the knee brace with the patient seated and the knee joint in flexion at 80-90 degrees. Press the shell against the leg and secure number 1 buckle around the calf. Adjust the strap length to desired fit by using the hook and loop closure. Next, fasten strap number 2 around the lower calf muscles. Fasten the thigh strap in proper order and in the same way as strap number 1.
Stand, and check the tightness of the straps. Walk with the brace on to see is the strap causes any discomfort, or causes the pain to worsen. If it does, re-adjust the strap while seated then stand and walk again to test the pain relief.
Adjust the hinge with the hex wrench for minor adjustments.

How to Set the Hinge: Use a screwdriver to remove screws and detach the cover of the hinge. Take off the existing stop and insert new plug-in stops, which are desired flexion/extension degree. Put the cover of the hinge and screws back. Be sure that screws are seated and snug. Both medial (inside) hinge and lateral (outside) hinge stops must be identical in degrees. Each hinge plate has a small number that indicates the degree of stoppage.

Cleaning Instructions

Remove straps, pads or liners and close all hook and loop closures before washing.
Hand wash straps with mild detergent in cold water, and hand dry only.
Do not dry clean, bleach or iron.
Occasionally apply a dry lubricant to hinge especially after use in water.
