A: You can either use 1 lead wire with 2 electrodes at a time. Or you can use 4 electrodes with 2 lead wires at a time depending on what part of the body you are targeting.

The preset body part programs are available for convenience, but they are not necessarily exclusive, meaning you do not necessarily have to only choose a specific preset program and only use it on that corresponding are of the body. You can certainly experiment and try using the different programs on other areas and compare the difference. For example, you mat notice that one of the hand settings feels good on your elbow, or perhaps one of the foot programs, etc. They are really meant to be used as a guide and recommendation. OR... you can always adjust each parameter manually (pulse width, pulse rate, etc.) by setting "Program U1" on any area of the body, and just skipping the presets, if you wish to do so. Always heed the advice of your medical practitioner for what is optimal and recommended for your particular case, as everybody is different.

A: Unfortunately, the 2nd-generation line of InTENSity devices do not include any sort of safety cover for the buttons on the front face of the unit. They come exactly as depicted in the official images of the product on this page.

A: For the knee I would recommend the 2" x 2" Square/Round electrodes. You can find those on our electrodes page. Each pack of electrodes has 4 single patches in them. You are able to purchase as many packs as you would like!

A: This unit has 2 channels to plug the lead wires into, which will allow you to use all 4 electrodes if you'd like. Depending on what body part you are targeting.
