With only 2 leads, how many patches can you put on at one time?

You can either use 1 lead wire with 2 electrodes at a time. Or you can use 4 electrodes with 2 lead wires at a time depending on what part of the body you are targeting.

Does this TENS unit come with a cover over the buttons, so the unit doesn't change on you while walking, bending, etc ?

Unfortunately, the 2nd-generation line of InTENSity devices do not include any sort of safety cover for the buttons on the front face of the unit. They come exactly as depicted in the official images of the product on this page.

I have a knee injury and have been in PT for a year, working on strengthening my quads. I had reached a plateau with only doing the exercises, and my physical therapist suggest the NMES unit. Frankly, I was skeptical that this machine would work. But I have been so happy with the results! Within about 2-3 weeks I began to notice definition and increased strength in my quads. I highly recommend the Twin Stim IV for muscle strengthening.

I had earlier bought eletrotheraphy which was below average. I saw InTENSity review by a physiotherapist and bought this. I bought the latest version and its really good. you can customize setting as per your personal requirement. Unlike other devices this also comes with a well designed box where you can keep all the stuff.

Bought this device to replace an old unit (that gave up the ghost after 10 years) for my wife. This unit cost a quarter of the previous unit. It's simple to use. Have not used the TENS part, but the NMS presets have exactly what she needs to keep the subluxation from an old Stroke in her shoulder in check. The rechargeable batteries last about 10 hours of continuous use. Easy to use and it's a great value. We love it.

Great quality TENS and EMS unit

I had some minor pain in my left thigh. After using the TENS device for a few days, the pain is gone. I highly recommend this product. Great quality product at a great price.

Great price

Following my second brain tumor in 98,(the first in 89) i’ve been living partially paralyzed on my complete right side of my body. I started going to occupational therapy again and using this machine three times a day as recommended by my occupational therapist. The machine is strong, and is slowly firing up all those sleeping nerves again on my right side of my body. I am very excited how things have progressed so far and I’m looking forward to using the Saebo glove in the near future. It is a very good machine and highly recommend it. Works extremely well!

The Twin Stim IV TENS and EMS combo works extremely well. I have had several back surgeries, and this unit is used every night to relax my back and minimize the pain. Great product!

Great product!

My PT recommended me getting a stim unit to use the nmes setting for quad stimulation post knee surgery. We used one in PT and he thought this may be similar. When I got it and took it to him to set up we realized it was basically the same minus a few extra settings. The contraction is strong and equivalent to what we used at PT. And the price is great too!! Totally worth it!

Good Unit

I've been using the Twin Stim IV for about four months and am pleased with it. It delivers the amount and intensity of stimulation needed to relax forearms, shoulders, and chest. The instructions are too complex, but a customer service person will walk you through the setup, if needed.

Intensity Twin Stim IV

Easy to use, works great. Outstanding service when I went to purchase the device, highly knowledgeable customer service individuals. Absolutely would recommend this product. The only con is the manual is small print and doesn’t indicate where to apply electrodes.

Great product

Have wanted a solid TENS unit for years. When I couldn't get into see my chiropractor I ordered this machine. It is powerful and easy to use. The battery lasts for several uses before needing to recharge. Being rechargeable is a plus. Would definitely recommend this.

The unit itself is great. It's small, portable and doesn't need to be plugged in while using. However, the manual leaves a lot to be desired, including how to start the unit. It goes into great detail on manually setting-up a session, but the majority of people will use one of the presets. I spent an hour online looking for clues as to how to start the unit and finally realized that you have to set the intensity level as the last step. This isn't mentioned in the manual. Once you choose an intensity, the unit starts its countdown and life is good. The unit I would give five stars. But the manual takes it down a few.

My PT taught me how to use this and with a little practice it's easy. I'm trying to do my stim exercises twice a week, and I think for me this was a better and MUCH less expensive option than the conductive device sold elsewhere that you wear strapped to your leg. Just be sure to get training with your therapist.

I'm using the TENS unit each day I work. I'm not able to figure out a way to silence the unit as I begin each cycle, so everyone hears the beeps as I increase the intensity. There must be a way to silence it. How do others do this in their workplace or school setting with disturbing people around them?

Works great!

I have used most of the preset NMES programs and a couple of the preset TENS programs. Each program is a little different but all have worked well so far. I am using this mainly for plantar fasciitis and calf muscle pain and it really provides a lot of relief. I also like using it on my upper back/shoulder muscles and it loosens them up quite nicely. I prefer the NMES feature because TENS is kind of a cover up rather than a fix, but both have their benefits. Pay attention to the safety precautions listed in the manual and this unit will likely help your aches and pains as well! Almost forgot to mention the battery life...you will REALLY happy with it! I have done six twenty minute treatment sessions and the low battery indicator hasn’t come on yet. I don’t know how long it lasts until actually needing to be charged but I’m very pleased at this point.

This unit is fairly priced and is as described. I found the instruction manual difficult to read due too small of print, however, providing the online option made it much easier to read. I was surprised to discover a bare wire which had separated from the cloth pad especially with how careful I was in removing the pads not to be pulling by wires. It gave me the opportunity to interact with customer service which I would rate as excellent. I received replacements approx. within one week.

This TENs unit is convenient especially with the rechargable battery. Giving it only 4 stars because it is hard for a non-PT trained person to understand the instructions. My PT had to program it for me and it took him a few minutes to figure it out. There are many options already programmed into this unit, so I would recommend it.

A great product. I am very satisfied with it, especially as it is so convenient to have the Tens and EMS in the same product. Also the intensity power ievels did not disappoint. It has 100 intensity levels and the maximum I have used so far is about 2/3 or about level 60+ meaning it has still more power available. i previously bought a unit from another brand. It has 20 levels, but I used up to level 20 and this max level 20 is about level 45 on this Twin Stim IV unit - that was why I returned that unit for a refund. Buy this - you won't regret it.!

Great machine

After having professional therapy on my neck and arms for months, I was a little skeptical that I could get the same results using Twin Stim IV. I went ahead and purchased it anyway, and have never looked back. I honestly cannot tell any difference between the machine my therapist used and the Twin Stim IV. It’s compact and portable which allows me to use it anywhere. It’s also simple to use due to the built in preprogrammed settings. I like being able to use it whenever I feel like it. No more trying to schedule appointments. I would definitely buy another when this one wears out.
