The InTENSity IF Combo II runs only off of a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, much like a modern-day smartphone. It can not be powered via an AC Adapter that you would plug into an outlet. The adapter that is included with each device is only used for charging the battery while the device is not in use.

Yes, IF is inherently a high frequency, and hence a high-power-demanding, form of electrotherapy stimulation, which will drain most batteries in less than an hour if run continuously. This is why it is recommended to use IF with an AC Adapter, versus a battery. For this 2nd generation InTENSity device, though, the AC Adapter that comes with it is not designed to power the device while plugged in - only to re-charge the lithium-ion battery. Therefore, if using IF, it is recommended to keep each treatment session down to a shorter timeframe (ex. about 20-30 minutes), as advised by a doctor/trained medical professional. Once your treatment session has ended, you can plug the unit in to re-charge and have it ready to go the next you need it.

TENS units and bone growth stimulators are not the same units. TENS units are for pain relief using various electrical currents, while bone growth stimulators produce a low level electrical field between the growth stimulator and the body part. The electrical field it creates will activates the bones signaling pathways and cause an increase in the number of bone cells within the injured bone, which in turns helps promote faster healing.
TENS helps relieve pain by using an electrical current to target nerves or muscles to block the signal of pain from reaching the brain, providing a temporary relief.
So while TENS is beneficial to treat any pain, it will not regenerate bone growth.
A bone growth stimulator is a separate device that we unfortunately do not carry. We do have many TENS units for pain relief though, if you have any specific questions on those.

On the TENS output mode, you should be able to get several hours of use on 1 battery charge, no problem. On the IF (Interferential) output mode, since that is a very high-frequency, and therefore a high power-output-demanding form of stimulation, IF will drain ANY battery on ANY device out there in the marketplace in less than 1 hour of continuous use. So 1-2 normal treatment sessions per battery charge when using Interferential... To go from a fully drained battery to a full charge, using the USB Cord + AC Adapter that come included with each device package, it takes about 10-12 hours. Most users will just set it to charge overnight that way it is always available for use the next day it is needed.
