A: Yes, you can use these Ear Clips with any of our TENS units, including the TENS 7000. They have a 2mm female pin style input to connect the lead wires with your device.

There are multiple ways to go about applying electrodes for Vagus Nerve Stimulation (tVNS)... At bare minimum, you only really need 1 individual Ear Clip Electrode applied to either the tragus or cymba concha of the left ear (and it does not matter if you use the red or black colored lead wire pin connector, as you will be getting stimulation from both ends). The 2nd / opposite end of the lead wire could then either be applied to a 2nd Ear Clip Electrode with that applied to the ear lobe, just to serve as a ground and close the circuit, or instead of the 2nd Ear Clip, you could also just apply that opposite lead wire pin to a self-adhesive electrode pad and place that a few inches away on the shoulder just to serve as a ground, either way is sufficient. You just have to be sure that both lead wire pins are plugged in to sort sort of electrode (Ear Clip or Self-Adhesive Pad) and that both are applied somewhere on the body (ideally within 2-6 inches apart from one another) to ensure a closed circuit and to be able to get adequate stimulation. NEVER leave a lead wire pin exposed while an electrotherapy device is powered on and outputting stimulation.

A: No, you would not use the Ear Clip Electrodes with ultrasound gel. Electrotherapy stimulation, via the Ear Clips, is completely different from ultrasound therapy, and so no gel is required there.

Ear Clips are commonly used in conjunction with TENS or Microcurrent. You will need to purchase a TENS unit and/or Microcurrent unit, all of which include lead wires that connect each device to electrodes or ear clips. Give us a call if you have any further questions.

2 things to consider...

1) Overstimulation by applying electrical current to that sensitive area of the body for too prolonged of a treatment session. Optimal treatment time is 20-30 minutes for an electrotherapy application.

2) The more "biting / burning" sensation through that small rubber carbon electrode pad at the end of the Ear Clip is more common when that pad is dry. Using Conductive Spray, or even dabbing a little bit of water with your fingertip on that small pad to keep it moistened will provide a more comfortable stimulation.

Ear Clip Electrodes serve as a substitute to the more conventional self-adhesive electrode pads that are commonly used in electrotherapeutic applications. When used with an electrotherapy device, like a TENS or Microcurrent unit, for Transcutaneous Vagus Nerve Stimulation (tVNS), numerous published research studies out there support the effictiveness towards reducing the effects of tinnitus, and a range of other conditions. However, it is always best to consult with a doctor or trained medical professional first to see if such a form of therapy would be a good fit for you, since everybody out there is different.

The Ear Clip Electrodes have the exact same industry-standard female 2mm-diameter pin connection point for where the lead wires of an electrotherapy device, such as a TENS unit, plug into, so from a PHYSICAL compatibility standpoint, yes, a unit like the TENS 3000 could be used, but if your intent is to use the Ear Clips for something like Vagus Nerve Stimulation (tVNS), then we highly suggest against using a basic TENS-only unit like the TENS 3000 for that, as it simply is not designed for that purpose. Please consider a TENS and Microcurrent-capable device such as the "InTENSity Micro Combo" which we also carry for sale here, instead, for use with Ear Clip Electrodes and tVNS.
