Q: Can this brace be used for a medial ankle support? My ankle turns in and my foot severely overpronates. I had a triple arthrodesis that failed. Custom braces did not work since I'm flat footed on the right.The custom braces were cutting into my foot and causing much pain

Q: I am a Physical Therapist and want to order the Bauerfeind CaligaLoc Stabilizing Ankle Brace but I am not certain that it will be tolerated by my patient who has some sensitivity and decreased tolerance to bracing. Is this brace returnable after wearing a few hours to determine if it works and is tolerated?

A: According to the manufacturer: "Yes, the CaligaLoc could be helpful here. An integrated wedge in the outer heel area of the footbed raises and tilts your foot inward to relieve the lateral ligaments."

Generally, Bauerfeind items can be tried on and if it is immediately determined to not be an appropriate fit, the item can be returned or exchanged for a different size option, for which we kindly ask for you to contact us here by phone or email and we can support. If the item has been worn/trialed over the course of multiple hours though, that would constitute as being used and therefore be ineligible for return.
