Bauerfeind AchilloTrain Achilles Tendon Support

The Bauerfeind AchilloTrain Achilles Tendon Support is a comfortable knitted support with an anatomically contoured visco-elastic insert alongside the Achilles tendon that produces a massage effect, thus stimulating the surrounding tissue. An integral visco-elastic heel cushion relieves the tendon. An additional heel cushion is provided for the unaffected foot. It is worn to treat Achilles tendon injuries by reducing pain or swelling (e.g. due to excessive strain or after operations). AchilloTrain active support helps to relieve the Achilles tendon without restricting mobility.

AchilloTrain has a three-fold therapeutic effect: the support alleviates pain and activates the musculature. A pad running along the Achilles tendon distributes the pressure uniformly but does not reduce wearing comfort. The massage effect stimulates the metabolism and helps to reduce edemas. An integral visco-elastic wedge further relieves the Achilles tendon.

Thanks to the especially stretchy, three-dimensional anatomical knit, AchilloTrain sits optimally even in the instep. The breathable material prevents the accumulation of moisture, and the integral heel wedge is removable, with a separate heel cushion provided for the unaffected leg to offset the length difference. The Bauerfeind AchilloTrain simply reduces the risk of ankle joint injury all-around.
