All of the electrodes come pre-adhesed, meaning they already have the adhesive gel on them. All electrodes will eventually lose their adhesion, at which point you can simply discard them and begin with a new pack. You can get a few more uses out of the pads by applying some of our Conductive Spray, but the number of uses a person will get depends on how long they keep the electrodes on during each treatment, as well as skin type.

A: Yes! The average user will typically get about 10-15 uses out of each pack of four. This all depends on how frequently the pads are used and for how long, as well as the user's skin type.

Using the electrodes once the adhesive gel has worn off is highly discouraged, as a user would risk potentially shocking themselves. Most users will typically get about 10-15 uses per pack of electrodes, depending on factors such as storage condition, length of use per treatment, skin type, etc. Once the electrodes lose their adhesive quality, you can simply discard them and begin using a new pack.

Yes. All of our standard electrodes have the same 2mm pin-style connection so they are indeed interchangeable. In terms of color, there is no difference between the quality of one pad or another or anything like that. It is purely an aesthetic difference. You are free to use any size that you feel would be the best fit for your particular situation and depending on the area of your body your are trying to treat.

We do not carry any Impulse TENS units or supplies, as all of our electrotherapy supplies come from a different manufacturer. However, it looks like our electrode connections match the electrodes sold by the Impulse manufacturer, as well as the pin-end connectors of the lead wires. All in all, our electrodes should be compatible with your device, but our lead wires will not work with that.

Unless otherwise stated, these electrodes will work with all of our standard lead wires and electrotherapy devices. Some of our products are specialized, though, in that they are only compatible with certain specific supplies, but those cases should be apparent in the product descriptions.

Unfortunately, our electrotherapy supplies are not compatible with EMPI devices, as our supplies come from a completely different manufacturer and their connections are different. All of our supplies are compatible with each other, though, unless otherwise stated. Generally speaking, if treating a larger area of your body, such as your back, you may want to consider using larger electrodes, compared to if you were to treat a more localized area, such as your knee or elbow where a smaller pad would be a better fit.

All of our electrodes come in packaging that clearly displays an expiration date, which is typically a couple of YEARS ahead. For example, a current Lot of these particular 2" x 2" White Cloth Electrodes in July 2015, show an expiration date in 2018! As long as the electrodes are stored at room temperature and are properly cared for, they should last you a while.

Yes! With proper care, these electrodes are good for about 5-10 uses per pack of 4. Eventually, you will notice that they will begin to dry out and lose their adhesiveness. You can apply some of our Conductive Spray (an accessory sold separately), to the electrodes themselves, and/or to the treatment area directly on your skin, to help keep the pads hydrated a little longer in order to get some more uses out of each pack, or simply discard the used electrodes, and begin with a new pack.
