Q: How do you place the 1.5 x 14 in White Foam Low Back Pain Electrode Strip? Do you place it vertically up your spine, or do you place it horizontally across your lower back? I looked everywhere for this answer but could not find one...even in the "Electrode Placement Guide" that is shown when this product is selected for purchase.

Q: Can I use 2 of the long 1.5" x 14" pads on my back simultaneously for low back pain? What would the proper placement be? Also: is there a non-conductive "bridge" (as on the "butterfly" pads) for where the pad crosses the spinal column?

The Low Back Pain Electrode Strip is indeed compatible with the TENS 2800 device, as they come from the same manufacturer. To use the electrode strip, both ends of the lead wire must be connected in order to complete the positive and negative electric current. Not doing so may result in either no stimulation from the electrode, or you may end up actually shocking yourself. Unfortunately, our supplies are not compatible with EMPI devices, as all of our electrotherapy items come from a different manufacturer that makes different-sized connectors. However, all of our electrotherapy devices and supplies, are compatible with each other, unless otherwise stated.

A: This larger Electrode Strip has 2 pigtail end connectors where you can plug in 1 set of lead wires from 1 channel of an electrotherapy device. This allows you to use just 1 pad at once for 1 channel.

A: It is more common to place the electrode strip horizontally across the lower back, but you should always consult with a doctor to see what is optimal for your particular condition and set of needs.

A: Yes, these pads have the same industry standard 2mm pin style connection for where the lead wires plug into, as do all of the other electrodes, and so they are compatible with 99% of the devices that we carry.

Yes, you can definitely use two of the electrode strips at the same time. Each strip will connect to one channel of your device and is powered by two lead insertions, a red and black so you can wear up to 2 strips at a time with a two channel device.
The proper placement depends on the area you are trying to treat. You want to surround your area of pain so if its the low back you can put one across the back near the top of the pain and lowed down near the bottom. If it's your mid back you can run the strips vertically up and down each side of the spine. There is not a bridge of non-conductivity, but the electrical wire inside the pad splits to cover each side so it is not directly over the spine. The whole strip is conductive though.
